Darkness in Shadows

In my previous post, I spoke about the book “The Mandala of Being” by Richard Moss. In it, he speaks about the moment of time when you’ve finally focused on yourself in the present moment and you begin to dig deep. It’s in the hours you’re alone, possibly at night, and you’ve found a proverbial demon you never faced. It might take more than one try to completely defeat this thing inside you, this darkness, a shadow that is simply a part of you. And by defeat, I mean you learn to accept it and let it become a part of you. In that moment, after you’ve absorbed it and let it be, you can move on without its negative affects on you. It’s one less issue to suffer.

You will be stronger for it, standing in the light while you let your shadows cast behind you in the past. Who you are now, in this present moment, is not determined by who you were before. You can release the woes and sorrows of the past, grip life with new-found energy and just be.
